A foundation named for a life of quiet teaching
Lalita Nand Memorial Pragya Foundation was incorporated on 17 September 2025 to carry a family's commitment to learning into the wider community. The name holds the intent: pragya, the wisdom that comes from understanding rather than instruction.
The emblem tells the same story. A tree grows from an open book; its roots rest in a pair of cupped hands. Education is the soil, the community is what holds it, and health, learning and the natural world are branches of one growth.
We are deliberately small at the start. Our work begins where the need is closest to us and expands only as we can account for it — programme by programme, village by village.
In memory of
Lt. Shri Nand Kishore Singh

1934 - 2023
A teacher for the whole of his working life, in a village where teaching was not a career but an obligation. The foundation carries his name and his wife's because the work it does is the work they did, continued.
